BabyGirl is our beautiful 7 year old daughter. She's a handful, but life with her is never dull. Early in 2008 we discovered many of her behavioral issues stem from Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). Specifically she suffers from tactile hypersensitivity. Clothing has been our main battle, but the battle lines shift frequently these days.
This diagnosis was both overwhelming & a great relief. To have a starting place to help her changed our lives. If what we've been through can help anyone else, that would be an added blessing.
I was born in the Midwest, and raised in the south in mid sized towns. In 2003 we moved to the country.
I'm a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a granddaughter, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, a daughter-in-law, and a friend.
I love the Lord. I know I disappoint Him on a regular basis therefore I am ever thankful for Grace.
I love my Husband/FarmBoy of 20 years and our 4 kids/FarmHands (BabyGirl-16, #1 Son-14, B.B.-13, and Bitsy- 10). I'd be lost without them. Occasionally I'd like to be lost.
I'm told I talk too much, so it stands to figure I'll write too much.
I think someday I'll feel like a grown up, but today is not the day.
I'm in constant need of a nap, a maid service, and spell check.
And now I'm a Lunch Lady!

Could I please bring my pillow and my favorite blankie and join you for that nap?
Come on over, sweet!
